Our purpose is to actively build vibrant communities by providing support, training and services related to volunteering in Southern Adelaide and the Fleurieu. Southern Volunteering is a not-for-profit organisation which has been in operation since 1984. We provide information on volunteering opportunities an
d roles available in the southern suburbs of Adelaide, the Fleurieu Peninsula and Kangaroo Island. We help not-for-profit organisations operating in the southern suburbs of Adelaide, Fleurieu Peninsula and Kangaroo Island with information, support and training relating to volunteers and volunteering. We offer a volunteer brokerage service enabling individuals in the community to access one on one advice on volunteering opportunities available in the local area. We are a provider of the Aged Care Volunteer Visitors Scheme (ACVVS) – providing volunteers to visit socially isolated older people living in a Residential Aged Care Facility or at home on a one to one basis, providing friendship and companionship.
