Dementia Doll Therapy
Dementia is a terrible, disabling disease. It not only affects the patient but the family, friends and caregivers of the person suffering from Dementia. There have been a few things proven to help calm the confused mind, take away agitation and bring joy in a confused state. Music, Pets and Baby dolls all provide comfort. My mom was instantly less agitated and had a smile all due to her new “baby”. She snuggles her, whispers secrets and provides her so much love. Seeing the affect and hearing her ask me if I could help the other “ladies” (with Dementia) have a baby to love made me start Dee’s Dementia Doll Therapy. I promised her we would help the other “ladies”. We have given away a dozen baby dolls to very deserving ladies. The smiles and sparkle in their eyes make it all worth the work. My fundraiser is ongoing and any support, either by a donation or sharing the link , are greatly appreciated. 100% of all donations are spent on the dolls that go to the dementia patients. My waiting list continues to grow and we need your support. If you can donate, we thank y9u tremendously. If you can’t then please help us get the word out so we can continue spreading the love to some very deserving women living with a very confusing disease.
