Joanna A. Savvides
1949 – 2025
The Cyprus-U.S. Chamber of Commerce sadly mourns the passing of our dear friend and former member of our Board of Directors. She served the Chamber with commitment and distinction.
Joanna was a trailblazer. Her professional accomplishments paved the way for many in the community, and as such she was one of our original Board of Directors. Yet, she was not only a Chamber Director but was the force in so many Greek American organizations and a true advocate for Freedom and Justice and the struggle of her homeland “Cyprus”. Her dedication to the causes and to the Cypriot people were immeasurable.
Joanna was truly a devoted wife to George and a loving and caring mother to Renos. Our sincere condolences.
We say “thank you” Joanna for all that you have accomplished and all that you have worked for all these years. We will continue “the good fight”!
Our thoughts and prayers are with her devoted husband George and loving son Renos, family and friends.
May her memory be eternal!
