Good afternoon, Dear 'Lere Olayinka

I can see that every line of your write-up above drips with envy for Dr. Kayode Fayemi. JKF remains the grand master of Ekiti politics whose influence stretches far beyond Ekiti. He is the only leader in our history who produced a successor, and that successor is Governor Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji, who today enjoys the overwhelming support of the APC because Fayemi built the structure that made it possible.

If Fayemi had betrayed APC the way your boss sold out PDP, where would BAO’s second-term ambition be today? JKF’s leadership of APC is genuine and unshakable, and if those JKF called “iru wa, ogiri wa” were truly relevant, they would have been at the stakeholders’ meeting yesterday. His remark was not harmful, but a reminder of the PDP that you and your boss traded for peanuts.

Fayemi has no quarrel with BAO. The schemes to hijack the labour of those who stood firm for the APC by your boss and people like you have failed woefully. Unity remains in the APC and will continue even after the primaries.

Instead of pretending not to know the worth of JKF, you and your fellow conspirators should humble yourselves and learn under Oko-Erelu. Fayemi will still school you because he is miles ahead in politics, vision, and leadership.

BAO is now torn between JKF and Osoko. Where will his loyalty lie?

It's now that I'm getting to hear that BAO worked against JKF on Ministerial appointment. Politics and perfidy.

*Fayemi's 'Iru Wa Ogiri Wa' and A Betrayal's Damage Control*

In Ekiti State, Governor Biodun Oyebanji (BAO) has different levels of supporters. There are early morning supporters, afternoon supporters, evening supporters, and late night (pajawiri) supporters.

Therefore, if former Governor Kayode Fayemi is still a member of APC and is now doing damage control is immaterial. He is the one who knows whether or not his 'pajawiri' support is because others have moved, left him behind and his option can no longer fly.

More so that we know those who are pained that their political journey to the ADC was truncated because they had no one behind them in their journey of political confusion. They are just waking up from their slumber because they realised that the ship of Governor Oyebanji is sailing successfully without them.

Obviously too, a Fayemi, who didn’t become the Governor of Ekiti by his own strength and efforts, and serially betrayed and ridiculed those who made him governor twice, will be envious of the kind of overwhelming political support Governor Oyebanji is enjoying presently.

For me therefore, I was at the reception held in Abuja after the Governor of Ekiti State, Biodun Oyebanji, submitted his party’s nomination form with fanfare, not as a 'pajawiri' supporter. Rather, I attended the reception to openly show my support for his reelection based on the directive of my political leader, mentor and benefactor, Ayodele Fayose.

For me too, Governor Oyebanji, who is unarguable Fayemi's senior in Ekiti politics, has done well to deserve a second term, and I have no apologies for supporting him.

I know how as governor, someone made our existence almost impossible, invading our residence in Ado Ekiti with thugs, arresting us, detaining us and charging us to courts for doing nothing apart from criticising his government and sensitising the people against his failures in governance. Governor Oyebanji is not doing these to me, or anyone in Ekiti.

Therefore, supporting Governor Oyebanji, who has made no one, including myself his enemy to be persecuted, is my duty as an Ekiti man. No apologies!

More so that the governor, who is the one seeking a reelection appreciates our support and he is not taking it for granted.

If for this, a betrayal who has fallen out of grace politically see us as 'iru wa, ogiri wa,' I accept. This same 'iru wa, ogiri wa' was what Fayemi relied on in 2009, when he turned Fayose’s Afao Ekiti residence to his second home, only to turn his back at him after assuming office as Governor in 2010.

Unlike Fayemi, Governor Oyebanji, has demonstrated that he is a thoroughbred Omoluabi, and it should be clear that his late-night support for the governor is a baggage no one will like to carry. How I wish he (Fayemi) knows how much he is hated in Ekiti?

Therefore, the damage control Fayemi is using Fayose to do, trying to impress Governor Oyebanji cannot fly, the governor knows his genuine supporters. You can't be against the reelection of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, and be claiming to be in support of the reelection of Governor Oyebanji in Ekiti. Or can someone claim to love a child and hate his father?

For Fayemi, we know that in Abuja, his betrayal of those who made him the governor of Ekiti State, twice will continue to hunt him and by the time Governor Oyebanji is reelected, his (Fayemi) political humiliation will be total and complete.

Therefore, as patriotic Ekitis, we will keep giving Governor Oyebanji that 'iru wa, ogiri wa' support that he (Fayemi) never intended to give until he saw that there was nowhere to hide.

*My name is still Lere Olayinka. I am just leaving the topmost part of Oke Agbonna in Okemesi Ekiti, after spending two nights with the Irúnmalès.*

Another BAO Term is Another Four Years of Waste, Hunger, Violence, and Hopelessness

Ekiti Kete, let us speak the truth without fear. What has Governor Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji (BAO) given our people in the last years apart from empty promises and failed governance?

Waste: Billions of naira are squandered on jamborees in Abuja, praise-singing, and media packaging while our roads collapse, hospitals lack drugs, schools are in decay, and local farmers are abandoned.

Hunger: Families struggle to feed, traders cannot survive, and farmers watch their produce rot because there is no support system. The government claims to empower people, yet hunger remains the loudest voice in every Ekiti household.

Violence: Instead of building peace, the APC government thrives on intimidation and political thuggery. They bully those who demand good governance and use fear tactics to silence the people.

Hopelessness: Our youths roam without jobs, our women are sidelined, our artisans and civil servants lack motivation. The dream of a thriving Ekiti has been stolen, leaving despair in its place.

This is the future APC is offering if BAO is allowed another term. Ekiti must not walk that dangerous road again.

But there is hope. Otunba Emmanuel Fayose (DOME) represents a new path — one built on:
✅ Expanding the economy and creating sustainable jobs
✅ Empowering youths and women in every LGA
✅ Reviving agriculture and guaranteeing food security
✅ Restoring transparency, accountability, and people-centered leadership
✅ Ensuring peace, dignity, and freedom for every Ekiti citizen

Yesterday, Ex-Governor of Ekiti State Kayode Fayemi said this about the Ekiti PDP wing supporting Biodun Oyebanji at APC stakeholders meeting, I quote:👇

"I heard there's a party called PDP in this state, but you can see how they're running after us. I saw some images from the event you had in Abuja and I saw some people claiming they're PDP but they have come to associate with us... So EKITI has become a one-party system? Yes, it has, but Ọmọ mọ Baba ẹ ooo. This is the party stakeholders meeting and I haven't seen any PDP member here... So let's be clear, the Governor may be doing his Tiwantiwa and irú wá okiri wá, but me, I am an APC person....... "

ME:

Is this not a ridicule on the part of the Ekiti PDP wing supporting BAO? His statements show displeasure and the reason he has been distancing himself from BAO. I am sure Fayemi will never allow National Assembly(Senate and rep) Tickets to be given to any PDP member in the state in the coming nass election . This is the level RIDICULE AND SHAM EKITI PDP HAVE BEEN SUBJECTED TO BECAUSE OF "IJEKUJE". THIS IS SAD...

We will keep watching then and see many of then BAO will give NATIONAL ASSEMBLY SLOTS IN FUTURE.
