Maggie was rescued from the road with severe skin issues and now she is healthy and has been adopted. She has recently participated in a photo contest where the winner will be selected on the basis of likes and shares. The winner will get a 20kg bag of pedigree dog food and medicines. Maggie's photo for the contest has been given with the hope that the dog food would help in feeding the dogs of the locality that we have been feeding since years. We are sharing the link here. Why do we need to adopt?

The joy of having a pet and forming a companionship with it is one of the purest form of happiness. A joy that is not measured by the species or breed of your pet. It doesn’t carry a price tag. It is independent of what your neighbors think about it, either. It is simply a bundle of pure and unadulterated joy. But every joy comes with a certain responsibility. Pets shall always be dependent on us for everything from food, exercise, care during sickness and old-age and lots of love.

Under such circumstances it becomes imperative for a pet owner to be able to commit a substantial portion of his/ her time and money for the well being of her pet. But what is generally seen these days is the commodification of everything including pet animals because of which we see an ever increasing number of pet animals being abandoned and deserted at the slightest sign of inconvenience to pet owners.

A pet which has forever only known the comfort and safety of his owner’s house suddenly finds itself confused, lost and completely vulnerable from the vagaries of the Indian streets. That is when people like us step in and make a sincere attempt at finding forever homes for the abandoned pets by connecting them to their prospective adopters. We strongly believe that it is only an enlightened and a compassionate soul who is capable of opening up their homes for an abandoned pet. And we know you might be just one of them.
