With hearts full of gratitude and joy, the Ateneo de Zamboanga University (AdZU) community extends its heartfelt congratulations to Fr. Ernald M. Andal, SJ, on his well-earned re-election as the University President!

During the Regular Meeting of the Board of Trustees held on May 23, 2026, the Board unanimously approved the re-election of Fr. Ernald as University President of Ateneo de Zamboanga University for another three-year term beginning June 1, 2026, until May 31, 2029.

Fr. Ernald’s steadfast leadership, faithful stewardship, and enduring commitment to the University’s mission as a Jesuit, Catholic, and Filipino institution dedicated to excellence and service continue to strengthen the community and advance its vision for the greater glory of God and the service of others.

As another term of leadership dawns, we stand with you, Fr. Ernald, with our prayers and full support. Let this new viaje continue to inspire meaningful transformation, compassionate service, and hope-filled leadership for the entire AdZU Community.

Grateful for the unwavering support and inspiration of Engr. Ibrahim “Bong” Nuño, CEO and President of Metro Stonerich Corporation, member of the AdZU Board of Trustees, and commencement speaker during AdZU’s 72nd Commencement Exercises.

Together with the Metro Stonerich Corporation scholars — Edzekiah T. Carpio, BSCE; Victor B. Suarez, BSCE (Magna Cum Laude); Irish Ellaine B. Tubil, BSCE (Cum Laude); and Earl Justin T.
