Welcome to this week’s Member Spotlight! Today we’re celebrating Monica Mondragon who is Operations Manager at Steel Bender Brewyard in Los Ranchos, Albuquerque! Monica actually founded the New Mexico chapter of PBS and has been an active member for the decade since! 🍻 On Pink Boots membership, Monica says, “The educational opportunities and scholarships are unprecedented in Pink Boots. I’ve been able to meet, connect and network with women from all over the country who share a love for fermentation science.” On what she would like to see for the future of the brewing industry in New Mexico, “I would like to see the fermentation industry continue to thrive here in New Mexico. Our industry is going through some tough times, and I would like us to stick together as a community and support one another. It saddens me every time I hear about our fellow professionals having to make tough decisions that directly impact the livelihood of our friends and co-workers.”
