đŸ“» Fancy being on BBC Radio Wales?

BBC Radio Wales is looking for Cubs and Scouts (aged 8–12) to take part in The Big Family Quiz on Robin Morgan’s Sunday afternoon show.

It’s a fun, relaxed quiz where a young person goes head-to-head with a parent, grandparent or another relative to be crowned the family brainbox (with plenty of bragging rights up for grabs!).

There’s no need to travel — it’s all done over the phone or video call.

If you’ve got a budding chatterbox who’d love to take part, they'd love to hear from you.

Rydyn ni’n falch o gyhoeddi bod Cole Whitelaw wedi’i benodi’n Arweinydd Gwirfoddol y GrĆ”p ar gyfer Aberaeron a New Quay Sea Scouts.

Mae Louisa, sef yr Arweinydd Gwirfoddol presennol y GrĆ”p, yn symud o’r ardal yn hwyrach eleni ac rydym yn dymuno’r gorau iddi ar gyfer y bennod nesaf yn ei bywyd. Mae Louisa wedi arwain Aberaeron a New Quay Sea Scouts ers sefydlu’r grĆ”p yn 2021 ac maen nhw bellach yn grĆ”p mwyaf Ceredigion.

Diolch am bopeth, Louisa, a llongyfarchiadau i Cole. Edrychwn ymlaen at weithio mwy gyda ti.

We’re pleased to announce that Cole Whitelaw has been appointed as Group Lead Volunteer for Aberaeron and New Quay Sea Scouts.

Louisa, the current Group Lead Volunteer, is moving away from the area later in the year and we wish her the absolute best in the next chapter of her life. Louisa has led Aberaeron and New Quay Sea Scouts since the group was formed in 2021 and they’re now Ceredigion’s largest group.

Thank you for everything Louisa and congratulations to Cole. We can’t wait to work more with you.

Rydyn ni’n cynnig antur i bobl ifanc ac yn credu na ddylai a***n fod yn rhwystr i fwynhau’r profiadau hyn. Ond i gadw’r Sgowtiaid mor gynhwysol ñ phosibl, rydyn ni’n dibynnu ar grantiau a chodi a***n i leihau’r gost i’n haelodau. Os oes gennych ddawn am ysgrifennu ceisiadau grant neu rai syniadau arloesol ar gyfer codi a***n, gallwch helpu i gynnig anturiaethau mwy a gwell i bobl ifanc Ceredigion. Cysylltwch heddiw.

We offer young people adventure and we believe money shouldn't be a barrier to enjoying these experiences. But to keep Scouts as inclusive as possible, we rely on grants and fundraising to minimise the cost to our members. If you have a flare for writing grants or some innovative ideas for raising money, you could help offer bigger and better adventures to the young people of Ceredigion. Get in touch today.

Dydd GƔyl Dewi hapus!
Heddiw fe gasglodd pobl ifanc a gwirfoddolwyr o bob grƔp yng Ngheredigion yn Llandysul i ddathlu Dewi Sant, traddodiadau Cymru a sgowtiaid.
Mewn tywydd nodweddiadol Cymreig daeth dros 200 o Squirrels, Beavers, Cubs, Scouts ac Explorers ynghyd i fwynhau saethyddiaeth, p***o, taflu tomahawks, crefftau gwyllt, cod Morse ac hyd yn oed Twmpath. Ac wrth gwrs, roedd cacennau Cymreig!
Ar ddiwedd y diwrnod, fe wnaethom gymryd munud i gofio ffrindiau oedd wedi mynd adref ac i fyfyrio ar werthoedd Dewi Sant a’r Mudiad Scouts.
Chwedl yw i Dewi Sant gael ei fagu yng Ngheredigion ac fe fyddwn ni’n byw ei werthoedd am weddill y flwyddyn.

Happy St. David’s Day!
Today young people and volunteers from all of Ceredigion’s groups gathered in Llandysul to celebrate St. David, Welsh traditions and scouting.
In typical Welsh weather over 200 Squirrels, Beavers, Cubs, Scouts, and Explorers came together for some archery, paddling, tomahawks, bushcraft, morse code and even a Twmpath. And of course there were Welsh Cakes.
At the end of the day, we took some time to remember friends who had gone home and to reflect on the values of St. David and of Scouts.
Legend has it that St. David was raised in Ceredigion and we’ll be living his values for the rest of the year.
