It was a beautiful day for the Rotary Day of Service planting 35 trees along the Wyomissing Creek as part of our Foundation Grant and Rotary eClub One to support the Borough of Wyomissing Parks and Recreation Department Wyomissing Creek Restoration Project. We have now planted 70 trees and helped with the removal of evasive plants along the streambank.

At our recent luncheon, "Meet Our Fellow Rotarians" we enjoyed a truly inspiring session as we heard from members of our club: Melissa Woodard – Superintendent of Wyomissing Area School District, Paul Ott - Retired Penske CFO, and Nannette Klase – General Manager, Hampton by Hilton Reading. Each of them captivated us with heartfelt stories about their professional journeys, family lives, and what being a Rotarian means to them. Their presentations not only offered meaningful insights into their unique backgrounds and passions but also ignited enthusiasm for getting involved and making a difference together.

extends sincere appreciation to our lunch speaker Jonathan Myers, CEO of Runwell Solutions, Inc., for generously sharing his valuable knowledge on how scammers exploit AI. His clear explanation of what AI is, including concepts like word association and vectors was enlightening. Jonathan‘s practical advice – such as not sharing codes, being cautious with online information, and openly discussing scams – was a timely reminder of the importance of community awareness. His emphasis on taking a thoughtful pause, even as technology rapidly advances, offer an empowering message about staying secure in today’s digital world.
