Want to make a difference in a young person's life? MASP is on the lookout for community mentors for our Youth Mentoring Program in Mildura and Swan Hill.

Each year, the MASP Youth Mentoring Program supports 15-20 young people from diverse backgrounds to connect with a group of safe and supportive adults.

Youth mentors are a positive role model for a young person across the program, encouraging them to re-connect with family, education or employment - or simply to build their confidence.

We have now passed the halfway mark of our 2026 Youth Mentoring Program trek on the Larapinta Trail in the Northern Territory.

Highlights so far have included Wallaby Gap, Standley Chasm, Serpentine Gorge and the famed Ochre Pits.

This trip is a culmination of the hard work participants have put in over the last 6 months and we are incredibly proud of the personal development our mentees have shown over the journey.

MASP is on the lookout for community mentors to participate in our next MASP Youth Mentoring Program. The program recruits adults from the local community to provide mentoring and support to the young people participating.

Training provided to the mentors ensures that the young people are receiving the maximum benefit possible from the program, which starts in July and finishes with a Tasmania trek in January 2027.

VOLUNTEERS WANTED - SWAN HILL YOUTH MENTORING PROGRAM

MASP is seeking community minded people in the Swan Hill area to come on board as mentors to young people undertaking the Swan Hill Youth Mentoring Program.

Training for the program begins in August and culminates in a week-long trekking experience in Tasmania in January.
