🚨 MUTUAL AID RESPONSE 🚨
April 19, 2026 2:21pm

The Providence Volunteer Fire Department was dispatched to assist the Edinburgh Fire Department for a reported chimney fire.

Smoke was observed coming from both the chimney and the soffit area surrounding it.
Two units responded and assisted crews on scene in ensuring the situation was safely handled.

We appreciate the teamwork and cooperation between departments, and are grateful for the strong mutual aid partnerships we share even across county lines.

🚨 CALL RESPONSE 🚨

April 18, 2026 | 4:44 PM

The Providence Volunteer Fire Department responded to Antioch Rd in the Town of Providence for a report of a brush fire caused by a tree falling onto power lines.

Crews worked to secure the scene, contain the fire, and manage the hazards from the downed wires.

We would like to thank the
Galway Volunteer Fire Company, Inc.
Middle Grove Fire Department
And Edinburgh Fire Department
for their assistance with mutual aid.

⚠️ Always assume downed wires are live and dangerous. Stay clear and report hazards immediately.
