GREAT MEETING LAST NIGHT!
Many thanks to SCHGS Member and last night's Speaker David Campbell!
It was a great turn out, with several new faces!
When it comes to genealogy, Dave is thorough and detailed, but he goes beyond the 'bloodlines' and tries to search out stories of the family, their home and life. It was the best of both worlds -- entertaining and informative!

HERE'S YOUR REMINDER -
WE HOPE TO SEE YOU THERE!

●•●MONTHLY MEETING MONDAY●•●
Please join us at the Spencer County Public Library this Monday, June 22nd at 6:30pm.
After a brief business portion, we are pleased to announce that our Special Guest Speaker, will be SCHGS Member David Campbell.
Dave Campbell is an adept genealogy researcher, currently looking into his wife's family lineage as well as his own roots. He just may have traced most of the Spencer County families by the time he's finished! Also, Dave does a great job of cleaning tombstones!
Mr. Campbell will be sharing his knowledge of the Green family in the Wakefield area. Wilson Green lived in a house there (now owned by Lora & Woodie Cheek). Wilson's brother, Henry lies in the Green Cemetery on that land.
This promises to be both entertaining and informative, a meeting you won't want to miss!
See you there!

☆ 🇺🇸 ☆ If you are looking ahead to the July Fourth holiday weekend and considering in which way to celebrate, this is one you won't want to miss. ☆ 🇺🇸 ☆

It is a remembrance and celebration of not just 2026's July 4th, but also of our last 250 years of history together.

We are always happy to see our name in the Spencer Magnet ... like in the Spencer County Public Library article below.
However, we were especially touched by the 'Letter to the Editor' from Don Carlin. If you attended the Spencer County America250KY program in May, you'll remember that Don was the presenter. His family is one of the first Spencer County Families. In fact, it was a Carlin ancestor who sold 60 acres to Richard Taylor. Taylor in turn used this acreage to create Taylorsville.
Thank you Don for the kind words and for embracing the Spencer County Community as much as we embraced you and your family.
