Some of us go to work in power suits and others in our PJ's. The bottom line is that we are a group of like minded women with the same obsession. What was once someone's trash has become our treasure and we are upcycling it, repurposing it, painting it, selling it and decorating with it It is in our blood. It is our middle name! How we came to be:
The Design Junkies group was dreamed into being by
two women over too many cups of coffee on a cold January afternoon. It was decided that there probably needed to be a support group of sorts for all the great women in the "junk biz" so we could help one another be successful in this overly populated industry. The word spread and within a month the first meeting was planned and held in March 2013... and the rest is history. We voted on a name in May and made it official. We became the Design Junkies. Co-founders, Lee Yarboro and Angie Nelson take no responsibility for those becoming new Design Junkies. Please know up front that there is no cure besides going broke and there is no rehab as long as there are thrift stores and yard sales...but we are here to support you!
