Way of the Roses is mostly on road and shared cycle paths, and is well signed in both directions. It’s a challenging ride both in distance and terrain, with the hilly Forest of Bowland, Yorkshire Dales, Nidderdale and Yorkshire Wolds to negotiate. Lancaster, Ripon, Fountains Abbey, York and many other historic places are on the route. Way of the Roses is part of the 14,000 mile National Cycle Netw
