Congratulations to Harry Ryan, VARA 2010 Hall of Fame inductee, who was inducted into the Vermont Ski & Snowboard Museum Hall of Fame on May 30, at Killington Resort. Harry is pictured here with his son a former VARA ski racer & famous extreme skier, Jim Ryan, and Olympian and World Championship medalist, Doug Lewis. 🙌🍾 Love to see this!

The VARA Golf Classic was held on May 29 at Green Mountain National Golf course, 20 teams came to enjoy a beautiful day of golfing, networking, and FUN. While this event is less about winning and more about getting the community together, congratulations are in order for the team winners; Willard Ski Team -best overall, Green Mountain Valley School -best mixed team, and booster ski matrix pictured with their sponsor, Ray Forgue, - best women’s team.

The turnout was impressive, and the day was beautiful, helping to raise funds for our VARA athletes. Many thanks to all who participated, our team sponsors and hole sponsors.

Great to see a big crowd at the USS Club Excellence Conference. VARA Board Member, former VARA Children’s Committee member, and SVC Chair, Pete Stokloza, in his new position as USS Club Development Manager, presented about coach retention!! In addition to a full room about 450 are Zooming In! 👍

Congratulations to Diann Roffe, recipient of the Eileen Shiffrin HERoic Development Coach of the Year Award.👊

Along with her involvement with USS coaches education, Diann currently serves as Chair of the VARA Children’s Committee and Director of the BMA Junior Development Program. A decorated Olympic medalist 🥇🏆, she is passionately committed to developing fundamentally strong young athletes, supporting coaches, and strengthening development pathways. Her leadership and dedication continue to make a lasting impact on the Vermont ski racing community.

Congratulations to .mansfield.academy for the USS Alpine Club of the Year and Overall Alpine Club of the Year awards received at the USS Congress Awards Reception. It was an honor yo be at the event to see the MMA team accept their awards!
