The Arlington Arts Council Spring Art Show will be part of our next 4th Friday Shopping night. It will include live music, an art reception, and shopping fun. The stores are open late 4 PM to 7 PM. Make sure to put the 4th Friday on your calendar, May through October.

I know what you're thinking. Pumpkins already? Well our Annual Schacktoberfest celebration will be here before you know it and we wanted to make sure you had plenty of time to create!

The Schacktoberfest Call for Art is officially open!

We seek submissions in all mediums of painting, drawing, sculptural work, glass, jewelry, ceramics, woodworking, photography and more in the themes of fall, autumn, harvest, and Halloween! All price points are welcome!

SPECIAL BLACKLIGHT DISPLAY: This year we’ll have a special area lit only by UV/blacklight! If you have work that glows in the dark or under UV light and can do without regular lighting, please make note in your submission description as “UV ONLY”.

Submission deadline: Sunday, July 12, 2026 (11:59pm)

Join us for a beginner-friendly workshop focused on planting a summer vegetable garden. Participants will learn how to plant and care for their growing garden. Easy, practical planting ideas will be shared, such as how to use repurposed containers or planter boxes for all types of spaces. The in-person workshop will include a hands-on demonstration with vegetable starters provided for at-home planting.

This workshop will be led by an instructor from the Washington State University Snohomish County Extension Agriculture Program. It is free, and open to anyone in the community. The City of Edmonds Arts Commission (EAC) invite Puget Sound region visual artists to apply
to exhibit their work in the Edmonds Sno-Isle Library and the Frances Anderson Center Art Display Case in
2027. Exhibits are rotated on a quarterly basis.
