Lifespan Society of British Columbia The Lifespan Society of B.C. educates the public on life extension and protects individuals' access to potentially life-saving technologies.

Lifespan's mission is to promote and protect access to science-based strategies for extending human lifespan. We advocate healthy living through education on optimal nutrition, integration of physical activities, and a broad range of existing and future treatments that encompass all aspects of longevity. We believe the best years of your life are still ahead of you, and we make it our mission to h

elp people improve upon that journey. Through a variety of community programs and events, we offer exciting insights into present and future health care technologies. Lifespan Society of British Columbia believes that access to life extension technology is a fundamental human right. Together, we work to ensure Canadians have access to medical life extension treatments currently in development. To this end, we organize conferences and educational outreach events to stimulate informed and critical discussion on life extension issues. The Society's leadership team consists of Executive Director Keegan Macintosh, and Lifespan's board of directors, President Luke Cockerham, Vice-President Geoff Shmigelsky, Treasurer Carrie Wong and Secretary Ted Duncan.

On 23rd October, we hosted a Bodycomp Imaging Event for UBC Students and Lifespan Enthusiasts. At Bodycomp Imaging, Harman, a technologist, gave a presentation about body composition scans in relation to bone density, lean muscle mass and longevity. This was followed by a Q&A session and a tour of their Dexa Bodycomp Scanner. After the presentation, we gave out a FREE Bodycomp Scan to a lucky attendee, and all attendees received swag bags. We then socialised with appetizers, whilst engaging in interesting Lifespan related discussions.

We would like to give a special thank you to the UBC Powerbuilding Club for promoting this event on campus. For those of you who missed out on winning the raffle, you can get a free Bodycomp Scan valued at $150 by purchasing a Lifespan membership.
