This year, we’re also celebrating the people bringing new energy, new ideas and new ways of creating space for our community.
Meet Thibeau, founder of , who is attending his first Pride this year! đŸłïžâ€đŸŒˆ
For Thibeau, sport should feel fun, accessible and safe, especially when you’re navigating your relationship with your body. As a trans man, he knows how powerful movement can be in feeling more at home in yourself. That’s why FITbus brings sport to people, on their own terms and without judgement.
His two biggest passions, inclusivity and sport, come together in FITbus, with the aim of helping people feel stronger, more confident and more at home in themselves.

Present since the early Belgian Prides, Sandra is now working at , the Flemish centre of expertise for s*xual health.

Sensoa works across Flanders and Brussels to promote positive and safe s*xual experiences, with respect for others and for everyone’s freedom to make their own s*xual and reproductive choices.

The organisation provides information and advice, supports professionals with expertise and training, shares scientific knowledge and works with policymakers to help shape better s*xual health policies.

Because s*xual health is also about autonomy, respect, informed choices and the freedom to live your life without shame or discrimination.

Thirty years ago, it was difficult to imagine LGBTQIA+ people taking over the centre of Brussels, speaking openly to politicians and making their voices heard so visibly in public spaces. Since then, the movement has achieved major progress, with important rights and greater visibility for LGBTQIA+ people.
But progress is never guaranteed. Today, we are seeing a worrying decline in societal acceptance of LGBTQIA+ people. Rights that once seemed impossible can never be taken for granted, and visibility alone is not enough. There is still a need to organise, advocate, educate and stand together.

Founded in 2007 as Arc-en-Ciel Wallonie, now brings together 29 organisations across Wallonia and Brussels, including the Maison Arc-en-Ciel network. It supports and strengthens LGBTQIA+ organisations, raises awareness, develops educational initiatives, provides support to LGBTQIA+ people and works to influence public policy at both national and international levels.

At its core, Prisme’s work is about defending rights, creating space for LGBTQIA+ voices and making sure that progress reaches people in their everyday lives.

We interviewed Mélanie from to look back at how the LGBTQIA+ movement has evolved over the past three decades: from fighting for rights and freedoms to becoming more visible and more present in society.
At the heart of Tels Quels’ work is the defence and protection of the rights and freedoms of LGBTQIA+ people. Throughout the year, the organisation provides social support and guidance, creates spaces for people to meet and share experiences, and develops educational tools, research and collective actions around s*xual orientation, gender identity and expression, and s*x characteristics.
Because Pride is not only about celebrating how far we’ve come. It’s also about recognising the work that made that progress possible, protecting the rights and freedoms that have been won, and continuing to fight for equality and freedom for everyone.

We sat down with Frank Schellings from to look back at 30 years of Pride in Belgium: from protest and political demands to the importance of creating spaces where LGBTQIA+ people can meet, organise, get support and simply be themselves.

RainbowHouse Brussels is home to a diverse network of LGBTQIA+ associations and their allies. Beyond Pride, RainbowHouse is active all year round: supporting the community, connecting people with legal, social, psychological and medical services, hosting meetings and events, and providing a welcoming meeting place where people can connect, meet others and enjoy a drink together.

Because Pride isn’t just one day, one march or one month.

It’s a movement, a political voice and a community that keeps showing up, all year long. âœŠđŸłïžâ€đŸŒˆđŸłïžâ€âš§ïž

30 Years of Pride. Countless stories worth preserving đŸ«‚
The Suzan Daniel Fund is dedicated to safeguarding Belgium’s LGBTQIA+ history, ensuring that the stories, documents, and memories of our community are collected, protected, and passed on to future generations.
Named after Suzan Daniel, who helped found Belgium’s first gay and le***an organisation in 1953, the fund has spent decades protecting a vital part of our collective heritage, making sure that our past is never forgotten.
As we celebrate it’s 30th anniversary, it reminds us that Pride is not only about how far we’ve come, but also about honouring those who paved the way and keeping the history that continues to shape our community alive.

Emmy Castelain, founder of , is working on a new chapter for Brussels’ le***an community: , a permanent le***an-led cafĂ© and community space in the heart of the city.

More than just a bar, Madrona is a place to gather, connect, rest, read, celebrate, and simply exist. At a time when dedicated le***an spaces are increasingly rare, Madrona is creating a haven for the community while remaining inclusive of everyone who respects the venue.
The project is currently raising funds to complete the renovations and open its doors.

If you’d like to help make this initiative a reality, you can support the crowdfunding through . Every donation, every share, and every show of support brings Brussels one step closer to its own permanent le***an space. â€ïžđŸłïžâ€đŸŒˆ
