During National EMS Week, we honor the professionals who provide us with emergency medical services and save countless lives every day. EMS workers put their lives in harm’s way to save our lives. They are the first responders who show up before anyone else in times of crisis.

This week, AFSCME Local 3044-1 proudly recognizes our hardworking EMT members who answer the call every day with skill, compassion, and dedication.

Whether responding to emergencies, caring for patients, supporting families, or serving our community during someone’s worst moment, our EMTs make a real difference in Woodbridge Township.

We also extend our sincere thanks to our fellow Woodbridge Twp. BLS partners and our ALS providers for the teamwork, professionalism, and commitment they bring to emergency medical care every day.

During National Public Safety Telecommunicators Week, AFSCME honors the emergency 911 dispatchers who save lives every day and deserve our thanks and proper recognition as public safety professionals.

Due to non-compliance with overtime laws, the City of Fall River is set to pay back $221,413.23 in lost wages. The city said a total of 133 current and former employees will receive a lump sum payment for their unpaid overtime. Members of AFSCME L-1202 Professional Paramedics of Fall River (AFSCME Council 93) proudly serve the public in this part of Massachusetts.
