Good Friday afternoon friends. It’s been a very long time. Way too long!!!! Sometimes we veer off course and we have to find our way back. I am so thankful for God’s grace and mercy. He never left me. He never left you. He never left us. He was waiting right there where left Him. He was waiting to welcome us back and wrap His arms around us just like the father did the prodigal son. We just have to turn back to Him.

Over the next little bit, this page name and logo will change but I want to get back to sharing content and sharing the word of God.

Do you ever have little places of discouragement that entangle your heart?

You know in the bigger picture of life, things are good. But there’s this little dark place. A little black hole that sometimes doesn’t feel little.

Maybe it’s an argument you and your husband have had one too many times. Or an issue with one of your kids.

I know it’s hard. But God wants us to know a black hole isn’t a black WHOLE. W-h-o-l-e.

The whole isn’t all bad. Yes, there are some issues to address, but don’t let Satan use this frustration to darken your outlook.

Jesus says, in John 8:12, He is the light of the world!

Ask Him to shed His light on your situation today. Look at it from Jesus’ perspective. It won’t be so dark with a little Light cast upon it.

Lord, we need Your light. Light defeats darkness every time. And while we might not have all the answers to our struggles right now, we know You can help us start seeing more hope than ever. Because of You, even our darkest nights aren’t so daunting and confusing. Thank You for leading us. Thank You for loving us. Thank You for lighting the way for us — day by day. In Your precious name we pray, Jesus. Amen.

Sometimes when we’re walking through a difficult season, we may know things to be true about God with our heads, but our hearts need reminders of His goodness in the midst of the hurt we’re feeling.

I deeply understand this.

I’ve found that declaring the Word of God and better understanding some key Scriptures increases my trust in God. My friend Ellie Holcomb calls this using your “fighting words,” because when we express God’s Truth, our doubts decrease, fear flees, skepticism ceases to hold us captive, and we depress the enemy’s lies.

I’m tired of the enemy’s lies causing so much uncertainty and relational chaos in our lives.

Prayer: Comfort For The Hurting

Dear Lord, I lift up women who are hurting. Whether they are hurting physically or emotionally, from sickness or from some other reason, I pray You would comfort them. I pray You would give them Your peace. I lift up their hearts to You. I pray their husbands and loved ones would sound them with love and encouragement. May You strengthen them and increase their faith, especially during trying times in Jesus' name AMEN!
