Pomeranians For Life Pomeranians for Life was founded by Joanne Elvin an owner of the breed for over thirty-five years.

With experience in helping to re-home small breeds for many years, and being the 'Pomeranianan Club's Rescue Co-ordinator' for a year, she, together with a small group of volunteers, felt it would be more beneficial to the breed to set up a re-homing service independently. Thus allowing as many of this adorable breed, whether relinquished or abandoned, to find new 'forever homes' allowing them to have a fulfilling and secure future with new owners.

We wish you all a very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

I’m so sorry so many of you are disappointed that we DO NOT re-home the two months of December and January.

In the New Year please remember to phone as only a small percentage of Poms ever go on our FB page.

Thank you to the RSPCA, The Dogs Trust and Battersea for working with us each year. Together we make a difference.

Regards
Jo and Pack (human and canine)

Some of you know we helped Shaun from One Paw at a Time, when he brought Mabel and her daughter to the UK from Egypt. Both had acid poured on them whilst in a bag and were thrown in a dumpster. Well, sadly Mabel passed with her mummy early this morning. She had aged quickly, was deaf, totally blind and full of arthritis. She was loved and thanks to Shaun was able to have her last chapter in her life here at Poms For Life just plodding about, she had warmth, was fed and was loved. An independent Madamn!
Babs, her daughter went up to say her goodbye. She sniffed her and let out the longest howl I have ever heard. Then bu**er it if Summer didn’t try to desperately wake her! Was an absolute ordeal for me.
Thank you to everyone who helped Shaun bring her here.

A message from Bennys mum

♡ OUR BOY BENNY ♡.

MISSING 4 1/2 LONG YEARS -

STILL HOPEFUL, STILL SEARCHING.

Today marks 4 years and 6

months since our beloved boy

Benny was stolen from us.

I'ts been thd longest, loneliest

time - our Hearts remain

broken, and not a day goes by

without missing him deeply.

NIghts turn into days, and still....

no sign of our little ginger

Grunting dog.

We're reaching out - from the

depths of our Hearts - to ask

each and every one of you :

PLEASE SHARE BENNY'S STORY

FAR AND WIDE.

We Truly believe someone,

somewhere, knows something.

Someone saw something.

Someone may know who took

him - or where he is now.

Benny is not just a dog

He's an innocent soul who loved

his family with all his heart.

He didn't deserve this - like do

many other stolen animals, he

was taken from a life full of Love

and comfort.

This has been especially

devastating for our adult

disabled son.

Benny was his everything - his

world, his unspoken support, his

unofficial therapy dog.

Since that day, it feels like the

light has gone out - and we can't

turn it back on without him.

Even the smallest piece of

Information - something you

might think is insignificant

COULD BE THE CLUE THAT

BRINGS BENNY HOME.

HELP US BRING BENNY HOME :

THIS IS MISSION POSSIBLE :

BENNY.

From the bottom of our Hearts

♡♡♡ Thank you for your continued

Love, Support, and Kindness.

Please help us keep hope alive.

With Love

BENNY'S FAMILY ♡♡♡

xxXx

Is is with great sadness to have to let you know we had Coco put to sleep today. Many of you will remember him coming into rescue a few years ago. Poor little man was turning blind. As he lost his sight he became very reactive and sometimes aggressive and would bite you badly. We just let him live out his days here until his health worsened. It did. His jaw was crumbling, his teeth became very bad and he suffered with a terrible ear. He wouldnt let us groom him let alone see to his teeth and ears. This past month his behaviour became very bad-so confused and agitated. So the difficult decision was made. He went to sleep in his dad’s arms. Rest in peace little man! Everyone I’m sure were waiting to welcome you through the doggy gates to heaven. God bless you sweetheart.

We would like to thank everyone at our vets-Coastal Vets for their patience and love of animals!

Well something quite special has happened at PFL. Charlie was part of four doggies being surrendered by a family these past few months. Sadly no one has come forward with any interest in rehoming Charlie. This has actually been a good thing. Esmae and her brother have fallen for him and he adores them. So Charlie is now adopted!

A little update for Charlie. It has become quite clear that Charlie requires a home preferably no men! Is there a woman out there who loves her doggies more than a man? Seriously, he really would have a fabulous life without a man in it. He has come around all of us woman but disappears when a man walks in bless his heart. So bear this in mind when contacting us here at Poms for life please.

We have been helping a family rehome their dogs over the past few months, two of which were Poms. We rehomed one Imperial Sh*tzu and now we have the last doggy an Imperial Sh*tzu.

This is Charlie
Charlie is an Imperial Sh*tzu aged 7years old. Charlie is a lovely red/bronze colour.
Charlie has lived with other dogs but would do better as an only dog. Sadly when Charlie was a puppy he broke his leg aged three months. I believe this has made him a very nervous and anxious doggy. His leg healed and Charlie has had no problems with it since. Overall health is very good, no known issues.
Charlie’s anxiety and nervousness is really and will be an issue with his new owner/s. So we are looking for a home preferably a woman who can devote herself to him. He will, eventually return your love with the same. Charlie will probably take several weeks two adjust and trust but once he does you will then have such a special bond and friendship. So a home where you have had experience with this type of behaviour is really essential. An enclosed garden back and front is necessary with nothing he can climb to jump off or over. Fence a minimum of 5 ft. Charlie will run and hide from men and probably also his new mum but once it has all clicked in place for him he will settle.
We have him here with our dogs and he is so well behaved with them. He sleeps on our bed but wears a belly band as not quite house trained. He is slowly relaxing. BUT whoever offers him a home must know that the hard work you will put in for him will pay you with such love and will be so worth it. This will take time, be prepared for this or he is not for you!
If you think you can give Charlie a home please shoot me a
Message or give me a call on 07592800296 and ask for Jo

Charlie will soon go into the vets for dental and castration. His adoption donation will be the sum to cover the costs of the two procedures.
