Recently, our Youth Action Campaign (YAC) students have been very busy educating their peers about International Humanitarian Law (IHL) and the Rules of War. They have spent the last six months studying IHL and developing projects to share their knowledge with others in their community.
Team 1 prepared a quick lecture and a virtual game for the 8th graders at Yokota Middle School, highlighting who and what are protected in conflict zones during wartime. Meanwhile, Team 2 took their event to the Youth Center. They shared the importance of the principle of distinction using an interactive bowling game. Both teams did an incredible job, and we are so proud of their hard work!
