🏄‍♀️ Ride waves. Raise funds. Protect what you love.

Join us on October 11 at La Jolla Shores for Surfrider San Diego’s Surf-a-Thon — a day of wave-riding, fundraising, yoga, community, and ocean advocacy.

There are four ways to get involved:
🏄 Surf — Catch waves and fundraise for local ocean conservation. All levels welcome!
💙 Fundraise — Rally your friends and family to support the coast.
🧘 Practice yoga — Start the day grounded by the ocean.
📣 Come hang out — Cheer on the riders, connect with fellow ocean lovers, and learn more about Surfrider’s work.

And the best part? You don’t have to choose just one. ¿Por qué no todos?

Every dollar raised supports our work to:
🛢️ Fight new offshore oil drilling
💧 Advocate for solutions to the transboundary pollution crisis impacting the Tijuana River Watershed
🏖️ Protect the California Coastal Act, public beach access, and the coast we all love

San Diego’s coastline is where we play, make memories, and connect with nature. But it needs defending — and we need you on our team.

Ready to ride for the ocean? 🌊 Register, start fundraising, and join us at La Jolla Shores on October 11!

📣 TAKE ACTION: Support Single-Use Plastic Reduction in Vista!

Calling all ocean and beach lovers in Vista and North County (and beyond!) 🌊 Your voice can help reduce plastic pollution in our communities and along our coastline.

Our 2025 Marine Debris Report, produced by Surfrider Foundation San Diego County and San Diego Coastkeeper, documented nearly 50,000 EPS foam fragments collected during cleanup efforts—making foam the third most common debris category identified.

And that’s not all. In 2025, Surfrider volunteers removed 21,393 plastic bottles and caps from our beaches and communities, highlighting the ongoing impact of single-use plastic beverage containers on our coastline.

🗣️ Your voice matters! A quick email or public comment can help demonstrate strong community support for reducing single-use plastic pollution in Vista.

With that, we're celebrating by growing our movement even stronger. Become a member of the San Diego County Chapter today!
