WI supports women, children and families in rural communities all across Canada.

*We learn together about our communities and how we can improve them...
*We share fun and friendships...

Our second guest speaker this year....

Liz Louden is a forensic nurse examiner, educator, and international leader in forensic nursing.

An internationally certified Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner (SANE), she has spent many years working at the intersection of healthcare, trauma, and justice. She teaches at universities in both Canada and the United States and has held leadership positions with both the International Association of Forensic Nurses — including serving as President in 2017 — and the Canadian Forensic Nurses Association, where she currently serves as President.

Through clinical work, education, and advocacy, Liz is committed to improving care for survivors of violence and advancing the field of forensic nursing worldwide.

One of our Guest speakers for this year's AGM

Sarah Robertson-Barnes is a sustainability educator, writer, and host of the Sustainable in the Suburbs podcast. She helps families reduce waste, save money, and make low-waste living more practical in everyday life. Through her work, she focuses on simple, realistic changes that can be implemented at home — especially in the kitchen and closet, where everyday habits have a big impact.

For the meeting, Sarah plans to speak about practical, everyday approaches to sustainable living, with a focus on mindful consumption in our wardrobes—especially our purchasing habits. She will keep it grounded in simple shifts people can start making right away to reduce waste and save money.
