Jenesta has been a part of Msomi since its origin, beginning in graduate school with our other founding women Freyca & Katherine while they were all earning their PhDs. Now what started as an idea has become something tangible and truly wonderful. Women are powerful. Msomi wouldn’t be what it is without you Jenesta!

During Women’s History Month we want to highlight some of our long term volunteers and leaders in Msomi.

First up we have Meg, Meg has been volunteering with Msomi for 6 years and has been to Kenya 3 times. Meg first became involved with Msomi as a graduate student and fell in love with the people of Kenya. It is the people, the beautiful landscape and the desire to promote equity for young girls that keeps her returning to Kenya.
