TARA Child Protection & Empowerment in India TARA is a Delhi based NGO working for Child Protection & Empowerment. At TARA Outreach Center,we work with early educational interventions at community level

At TARA Homes, we ensure quality care, education, individual attention & family like environment. TARA is a residential service with an emphasis on education for vulnerable children, whose families cannot provide them with a home. These families, for a variety of reasons, have found themselves in desperate situations. The child cannot be sent to school anymore, fed properly, or cared for in the fa

mily home. Without a decent education for the child his or her future, as well as the welfare of the whole family, is compromised. TARA offre un hébergement familial et une éducation de qualité pour enfants en grande vulnérabilité dont les familles sont dans l'incapacité de leur fournir des conditions de vie décentes. Ces familles, pour différentes raisons, se sont trouvées dans des situations désespérées. Ne pouvant envoyer leurs enfants à l'école, les nourrir correctement, ou leurs donner l'attention nécessaire à leur développement. Sans éducation, l'avenir de l'enfant, ainsi que le bien-être de toute la famille, est compromise. C'est pourquoi nous avons créée Tara.

We are grateful to Accenture for their continued engagement with TARA and our children.

On 9th May, our children joined Accenture's Family and Community Day, where they explored AI through interactive quizzes, learned basic coding concepts, and enjoyed games and fun activities.

Then, on 30th May, as part of National Volunteering Day, Accenture employees visited our TARA Outreach Centre in Saidulajab and led creative clay modelling and vision board activities with children from TOC Saidulajab, Sanjay Colony, and TARA Boys.

Partnerships like these show how employee engagement can inspire, encourage, and broaden children's horizons while creating meaningful impact for everyone involved.

We are constantly inspired by the incredible creativity and talent of our children. ✨
Recently, Nimmi from TARA Girls (name changed) showcased her beautiful painting at her school, while Varuni from TARA Girls (name changed) proudly displayed her artwork at Artism through Welldone Academy. Her art has also been exhibited at places like the French Embassy, earning her trophies and recognition. 🏆🎨

Meanwhile, Namit from TARA Boys (name changed) amazed everyone with his detailed eagle sketch and stunning 3D car artwork. 🦅🚗

These young artists are full of imagination, passion, and potential. With the right encouragement and materials, they can continue to dream, express, and grow through art.

On 8th and 9th May 2026, the Peesafe team conducted awareness sessions on Zero Period at our TARA Outreach Centres in both Saidulajab and Sanjay Colony.
“Zero Period” is an initiative that aims to create safe and supportive spaces for young menstruators with a vision of:

🌸 Zero shame
🌸 Zero hesitation
🌸 Zero disruption to a girl’s education and confidence due to periods

The sessions helped break myths around menstruation, spread awareness on menstrual hygiene, and encouraged open conversations. Boys were also included in the sessions to build understanding and sensitivity around periods. The team further demonstrated the use of sanitary pads, especially for children who have not yet started menstruating, helping them feel informed and prepared.

A meaningful and impactful session towards building a more inclusive and informed community.

In remembrance of Devyani, the employees of CPCS Transcom Limited came together to raise funds in support of TARA’s health initiatives and community health camps.
Devyani was known for her compassion, leadership, and unwavering commitment to people. It is deeply meaningful that her memory continues to inspire care, dignity, and support for children and families through initiatives that promote health and wellbeing.

With the support of the Devyani Health Fund and similar partnerships, TARA is able to organize awareness sessions, health camps, and provide access to critical healthcare services for children and communities.

We are deeply grateful to CPCS and everyone who contributed in Devyani’s memory. Through these acts of collective kindness, her legacy continues to touch lives and create healthier futures for many. 🌸

We’re so proud to share that 5 of our residential children have successfully passed their 10th Board Exams! 🌟

This exam is a major academic milestone in India and it marks the completion of secondary education and plays an important role in shaping a student’s future academic path, making this achievement especially meaningful.

Manzil Mystics is an NGO working to make music accessible to underserved children. Through their “Learning Through Music” initiative, we have partnered for our children to explore singing, composition, and songwriting while also building life skills like teamwork, confidence, communication, and self-expression.

This marks the beginning of an 18-month Socio-Emotional Learning journey of nurturing confidence, creativity, and emotional well-being, one note at a time. ✨
