Philopolitics Independent research institute Philopolitics is the independent non-profit research institute.

Its main focus is on the relations between human rights, political systems and public space in the modern-day world. Philopolitics for its objective has tracing the responses on this question through the arts, philosophy, political science, anthropology, cultural memory and heritage studies. Through our organization, we want to explore the possibility of socially committed, activist theory. We bel

ieve that for a broader comprehension of contemporary political culture, research should be made in an open space of perpetual exchange (between individuals from different public spheres as well as between different fields of knowledge). Therefore we would like to form a global network of collaborators (scholars, researchers, citizens, witnesses, members of minority and/or endangered groups etc.), to collect as many points of view possible of the contemporary political phenomena as well as different heritage objects and phenomena of political culture. Philopolitics produces studies, research, analysis, and publications. Also, through the oral history activities, we do interviews with persons affected with those policies or with the creator of those projects. In aim to raise awareness on importance of public space in political and civic life, we organize flash mobs and public manifestations.
