North Warren Fire Department North Warren Fire Department
Located in Warren County, Tennessee
Ever Ready. Ever Willing. The department's first truck was a 1952 Chevrolet open cab pumper.

The North Warren Fire Department was organized in September of 1974 after the City of McMinnville ceased to answer rural fire calls. This was the last area of Warren County not to have it's own volunteer fire department. We rented two bays from T.B. Adams service station located in the Gath Community (current location of Ace Fence Co.). The first fire chief was Glenn Vandagriff. In 1976, we built

our first fire station in the Dibrell Community, on land that was donated by Russell Jone. The building has three bays with an office, kitchen and dining room area. By 1981, our apparatus consisted of a 1952 Chevrolet Pumper, a 1981 Ford Pumper, a brush truck and a tanker built on a 1952 Army surplus Studerbaker-Reo chassis. In 1985, we built our second station on Bluff Spring Road next to the Wayside Community Center. In 1995, we built our third station on Judge Warren Road. This was done to better protect the citizens in our 68 square mile response area.
