Crisis Intervention Services - Services are available to all victims whether needing emergency shelter or not. Services are provided to ALL victims of violence no matter race, color, creed, gender, gender identity or expression, ancestry, ethnic or national origin, age, religion, sexual orientation, marital or family status, economic status, education, disability status, military or veteran status
, genetic information, or political affiliation.

Advocacy Services
Domestic and Sexual Violence Advocates assist victims through the law enforcement and civil and criminal court systems processes, in developing safety plans, in filing Protection From Abuse Orders (PFA) and Protection From Stalking Orders (PFS), in completing Crime Victims Compensation applications. In addition, advocates may assist in locating local resources such as food baskets, clothing, prescription assistance, ID’s, school supplies, work uniforms and boots, bus tickets, or gasoline for relocation, etc. Referral Services for the following:
Medical treatment, legal services, appropriate professional counseling or mental health services, DCF, HUD, Immigration and Naturalization Service, adult education, work training, disability programs, drug and alcohol addiction programs, and miscellaneous other community and support agency services. We provide emergency transportation to the shelters and transportation (when available) to medical, dental, eye, and mental health appointments, school, employment, to court hearings, etc. For victims choosing to re-establish households, we assist in finding furniture, bedding, towels, and household items. Child Exchange and Visitation Center (CEVC)
The CEVC is a safe, neutral and monitored child friendly environment that families or care givers can use to exchange their children between the residential and non-residential parents/care givers. The CEVC also provides supervised visitations for
the non-residential parent and their children as necessary for the physical and emotional safety of the children and family. Public Education Services
Safehouse advocates conduct domestic violence, sexual assault, and stalking training for law enforcement, medical and mental health professionals, teachers, DCF, and other miscellaneous community agency and services personnel. Advocates, also, provide awareness education as well as the overall mission and services of Safehouse to public schools, colleges, churches, civic groups, and organizations.
