“Ahhh what?!?”

Sweet baby Toblerone has to have surgery to remove what’s left of his right eye. Most likely he had an infection or injury that caused the eye to rupture and then atrophy, leaving him with some debris inside the socket. This procedure will eliminate any risk of pain or infection going forward, and will give him the quality of life he deserves!

If you’d to donate towards his surgical costs, which are estimated to be around $900, we have links to our PayPal and Venmo below. ❤️‍🩹

Send him love for his big day tomorrow! We’re nervous and can’t wait to get this part over with!

Adoptable Sammy’s Embark Dog DNA Test results! She may have a floppy ear, but this girl is 100% GSD! And her genetic screening came back all clear too! Yay!

She’s been patiently waiting for her forever home for MONTHS, and we truly don’t understand why. She’s pretty much perfect. 🖤

Read her story and apply to adopt via our website.

Meet the 🍬🍭 Candy Kittens! 🍭🍬 Our latest group of misfits were trapped and rescued from a life outdoors, and are currently in foster learning all about the good life! Everyone is (surprisingly!) relatively healthy, although Toblerone obviously has an eye issue we’re addressing.

Toblerone and Pixie were caught in the same area and are presumed to be brother and sister. Tootsie, Rolo, and Lolli are all siblings as well!

They won’t be available for a few weeks, but we’ll be sure to share updates on their progress! These babes are cuter than heck and watching them play, explore, and gain confidence is so much fun!

They’ve quickly learned some of the most important life lessons — that Churu is the most incredible treat, and that humans mean food and snacks are coming! 🤩

Well, you sure can’t keep a feisty kitten down! William Beans, the kitten with severe flea anemia we recently took in, apparently has NO FEAR in addition to having no red blood cells. 🤣 (Seriously though his anemia is much improved!)

He’s thriving in his foster home, and has basically taken over the joint! He’s great with dogs, loves people, and is a confident and boisterous little fellow! He’s eating like a champ and seems to have fully recovered from his life threatening event.

We’ve been trying to get some pics of him to share, but he never sits still! So enjoy these video snippets of life with Billy Beans instead! 🖤🐈‍⬛

He’s only about 5 weeks old now, so he won’t be available for several more weeks.

Whelp, we have a new misfit in the rescue! I was pumping gas at a Pilot gas station/truck stop, and this girl ran out from behind the dumpsters. Obviously, I immediately abandoned my vehicle and scampered off into the darkness to try and catch her. (NOT very true crime savvy of me 🤣).

After 40 min of trying to get her, this girl scooted off into the truck parking area, and I wasn’t able to follow or find her again. Thankfully, I have amazing friends who immediately put me in touch with Lorain TNR, and they were able to go out that evening and successfully got her trapped with some food and patience! 💕 We love our rescue community and friends!

Currently just being called Pilot or Pi, this girl immediately went to our vet for a check up and the all clear to move to foster! She’s a bit shy, but SO SO sweet! I just adore her and am beyond thrilled we were able to save her!

Stay tuned for updates! And if you have any clever names for our truck stop girlie, drop em in the comments! I’d love to hear them!

Big love from me to everyone involved in this Labor Day rescue mission! — Andrea, ANLOL President 🖤
