🛖 From Run 4 Rural 2025 to real impact in our communities.

Because of your contributions, generous sponsorship from and , and the power of our collaborations with .rhf involved, we were able to send 10 students on funded November placements to Isilimela Hospital (Eastern Cape) and Emmaus Hospital (KwaZulu-Natal).

At Isilimela Hospital, our students contributed to improving diabetes care by assisting with a diabetes bootcamp aimed at addressing and reducing the backlog. At Emmaus Hospital, they supported health promotion initiatives to raise awareness on nutrition and breatfeeding and strengthened community understanding around health care.

These experiences were more than placements, they were moments of service, growth, and meaningful engagement in rural healthcare.

As we reflect on what we achieved together, we are deeply grateful. None of this would have been possible without your support, donations, and belief in our mission. 💚

We are excited for what 2026 will bring and would love for you to journey with us. With winter and summer placements, impactful events, and new initiatives ahead, there is so much more to come.

Welcome back, RSN family! 🌱✨

Here’s to the academic year 2026 and all the memories, growth, and impact ahead. Thank you for being part of R4R 2025 and for the time, energy, and heart you poured into your contributions, it truly would not have been the same without you 🤍

We’re so excited for a fun, engaging, and meaningful year with all of you. We’ve got lots of exciting events and placements planned for 2026, and we can’t wait to experience them together!

Keep an eye out as we’ll be sharing some throwbacks from last year’s November placements and R4R, all the moments that remind us why we do this 🌍💫

• Support diabetic patients with lifestyle management & recovery
• Promote self-care and daily living skills in low-resource settings

🏥 Emmaus Hospital (KZN):
• Help introduce the rural mobility transport device
• Empower patients with disabilities to regain independence and community participation

Build your rehabilitation, community, and patient education skills while serving where you’re needed most. 💚

✨ Join us in 4 Saturdays' time for our epic annual 6km fun-run. Open to runners, walkers and everyone in between — UCT students, staff, and anyone else who shares our passion for rural health care!
