RE: TAPD and Miller County OEM to Conduct Coordinated Search Efforts for Two Missing Persons
The Texarkana Arkansas Police Department is announcing that on June 3rd and 4th, 2026, coordinated search operations will be conducted for two missing individuals: Jonathan Bohrer and Johnny Hamilton. While both men are from Louisiana, there is currently no evidence indicating the two cases are related.
TAPD Criminal Investigation Division, The Morgan Nick Foundation, Miller County Office of Emergency Management, and numerous trained volunteers will be assisting in these large scale search efforts. The goal of this coordinated operation is to expand search coverage, follow up on investigative leads, and bring both individuals home safely.
The Morgan Nick Foundation will be utilizing search dogs during the operation. TAPD asks community members in the search areas to keep personal dogs secured to prevent interference with the search dogs and officers working in the field.
Search teams will be operating across designated areas throughout both days. These areas include the locations where the vehicles belonging to both Hamilton and Bohrer were discovered, with expanded search zones extending outward as necessary. TAPD asks the community to remain aware of increased activity in these areas and to promptly report any information that may assist investigators through TAPD’s reporting channels.
For the duration of the search, Roberts Street and at the entrance to Poindexter Park will be closed to ensure the safety of search teams and the public. Barricades will be placed at both entrances into Poindexter Park to prevent access to the area.
At this time, the volunteers participating in the operation are highly trained, and TAPD is not requesting additional volunteers from the public.
TAPD is grateful for the support of our partner agencies and the many volunteers dedicating their time and resources to this effort.
