Today, NERIS Public: Incident Basics is live.

For the first time, national fire incident data is publicly available, refreshed multiple times per week, with no login, no request process, and no expiration. The dataset covers the previous 15 months on a trailing 60-day window and includes the fields most used for analysis: incident type, date, location, and actions taken.

The U.S. Fire Administration has collected national fire data since the 1970s. This release builds on that 50-year foundation, but replaces the annual batch with a standing feed that reflects conditions on the ground, not conditions from a year ago.

• R0645 – Leadership in Supervision – 12/13-12/18/2026
• R2122 – Fire Investigation: Case Preparation and Testimony – 12/14-12/18/2026

All training is at the National Emergency Training Center in Emmitsburg, MD.
