Sporting activities offer fantastic health benefits to people with disabilities but it is the social advantages that are perhaps the most important to our members. Through their activities with CP Sport, our members grow in confidence and build life-long friendships as they compete and socialise with others who share the same difficulties as themselves in an environment where they are no longer made to feel different from their peers.

Calling all seated throwers!

Interested in seated throws or want to develop your skills?

Join the British Wheelchair Athletics Association at Stoke Mandeville this September for a seated throws taster session.

A fantastic opportunity to have a go and receive expert coaching from coaches who have worked at the highest level of para athletics and produced Paralympic medallists.

The European Athletics Championships are underway in Birmingham this week and if watching the action has inspired you, why not have a go yourself?

The CP Sport National Athletics Championships take place in Coventry on 5–6 September, and we’ve extended the entry deadline until midnight on 16 August!

You don’t need to be an experienced athlete and you don’t need a British Athletics classification to enter.

All disabilities and impairments are welcome.

Whether you’re already involved in athletics or thinking about taking that next step, we’d love to see you there.
