โœ–๏ธ MYTH: All cancers are treated the same way.

โœ”๏ธ FACT: There is no single treatment for cancer.

๐Ÿฅ Different types of cancer require different approaches. Depending on the cancer, its stage, and the individual patient, treatment may include surgery, chemotherapy, radiotherapy, immunotherapy, targeted therapies, or a combination of these.

๐Ÿ’Ž This is why cancer research is so important. Researchers are continually working to develop more personalised treatments that are more effective and have fewer side effects.

Every advance brings us closer to a future where every patient receives the treatment thatโ€™s right for them.

๐ŸŽ—๏ธ Support life-saving research today and help fund the next generation of cancer treatments.

๐Ÿ† The Italian Awards 2026 took place at the Marriott Hotel in Mayfair, London, after eight years in Leeds and Manchester.

๐Ÿฝ๏ธ Businesses from across the UK competed for titles such as Best Chef, Best Pizza, Best Mixologist, Best Trattoria, Best Italian Wholesale Supplier, and more, judged by an expert panel including celebrity chefs with Italian influence. ACT Trustee Luigi Carnevale attended the evening.

The event celebrated everything that makes Italian culture in Britain proud of its unique ties with Italy.

๐Ÿคฉ We were honoured to be chosen as their charity partner for the silent auction held during the final gala, and we were truly impressed by the generosity and support shown throughout the evening.

๐Ÿ’ท As a result, ยฃ2,376.50 was raised and donated to support our work and cancer research. On behalf of our trustees and team, we would like to thank The Italian Awards for this meaningful contribution.

๐ŸŒˆ Grazie!

๐Ÿšถ๐Ÿปโ€โ™€๏ธโ€โžก๏ธ โ›ฐ๏ธ Congratulations to Catherine, Princess of Wales, who last week completed the Three Peaks Challenge by climbing Scafell Pike in England, Ben Nevis in Scotland, and Snowdon in Wales to raise money for the Royal Marsden Cancer Charity, where she received treatment for cancer.

๐Ÿ‘‘ TRH The Prince and Princess of Wales are Joint Patrons of The Royal Marsden NHS Foundation Trust.

๐Ÿ‘จโ€๐Ÿ”ฌ She said the challenge was an opportunity to raise awareness of the importance of holistic healthcare, emphasising that cancer affects not only the body but also a personโ€™s emotional, mental, and social wellbeing. Drawing on her own experience, Catherine stressed that recovery requires more than medical treatment alone and highlighted the need for support that helps patients maintain their resilience and quality of life. Her Royal Highness said she wanted to โ€œgive something backโ€ by supporting cancer patients through the charityโ€™s work.

๐ŸŒˆ Arcobaleno Cancer Trust has had a long relationship and collaboration with the The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity, and we all recognise the exceptional quality of their care and the professionalism and humanity of the people working there.

๐Ÿ’œ Thank you, Your Royal Highness, for your example and determination - you are a great inspiration to people fighting cancer.

๐ŸŽ—๏ธ๐Ÿงฌ Big news in the fight against breast cancer!

Researchers from University College London (UCL) and international partners have found that a groundbreaking genomic test could help thousands of women avoid chemotherapy.

The study, involving more than 4,000 patients, showed that many women with a low risk of their cancer returning achieved excellent outcomes without chemotherapy, relying on hormone therapy instead. ๐Ÿ’ชโœจ

This could spare patients from the often-challenging side effects of chemotherapy while ensuring they still receive the treatment that is right for them.

A huge step towards more personalised cancer care and better quality of life for patients worldwide. ๐ŸŒโค๏ธ

๐Ÿ‘Congratulations to Abigail Eary!

๐Ÿƒ๐Ÿปโ€โ™€๏ธ A few weeks ago, Abigail completed the Riga Half Marathon in Latvia, raising funds for people affected by neuroblastoma.

She took on the challenge for Siobhan's Superstar Legacy, in collaboration with Arcobaleno Cancer Trust. Abigail is the cousin of Siobhan Mather, who sadly passed away from cancer in 2019 at just four years old.

โฒ๏ธ This was Abigailโ€™s first half marathon, and she worked incredibly hard throughout her training and on race day, crossing the finish line in 2 hours and 48 minutes.

Abigail raised ยฃ950 plus Gift Aid in memory of Siobhan, helping to make a difference to children and families facing cancer.

๐Ÿ’œ Thank you, Abigail, for your outstanding effort and generosity. We are sure Siobhan would be incredibly proud of you.
