„UNITE FOR GOOD“

Dear fellow Rotarians and valued guests,

In our upcoming meeting, we welcome speaker Stefan Pfneisl from the Rotary e-Club of Wall Street, New York, who will provide us with insights into the global energy market and why energy is facing a "trilemma". We will learn about thoughts and mechanisms at work around global Energy supply, demand and pricing, as well as the related role of crude oil in this context.

Stefan, has been serving in the energy industry for over a decade, performing multiple senior management roles in Europe and the Middle East & Africa Region.
A mechanical engineer by training, Stefan has a proven track record in strategy development, portfolio management, financial planning, and organizational transformation. His experience includes consulting and business development as well as managing complex international teams and multi-million-euro investment portfolios with OMV Group, Boston Consulting Group and BMW Group.
Stefan is now living in Austria, married and a father of 2 kids, and running a private investment company.

For our Rotary Club, Stefan is currently serving as secretary and incoming president.

In our upcoming meeting, we are excited to welcome speaker Maureen Gichuhi from the Rotary Club of Nairobi Langa'ta, who will provide us with a learning session.

Maureen will guide us to the mechanisms at work for the Rotary foundations' multiple grant opportunities - illustrated with the school project(s) driven by the Langa'ta club.
Furthermore, we will learn about the current status of the school project and opportunities to support.

MEETING INVITE UPDATE

Dear fellow Rotarians and valued guests,

In our upcoming meeting, we are excited to welcome speaker Felix Oldenburg, who will talk about “The new giving", or how to leverage money in the digital age.

Felix, born in 1976, studied philosophy, politics, and nonprofit management.
He is a social entrepreneur, association executive, and publicist.

From 2016 to 2020, he served as Secretary General of the Association of German Foundations and led the social entrepreneurship network Ashoka.
Felix is a co-founder of the fintech startup bcause.com and a board member of the nonprofit public limited company gut.org, the parent organization of Germany’s largest online donation platform, Betterplace.org.

Furthermore he is the author of regular contributions to the German newspaper Handelsblatt, as well as podcasts and newsletters, and of “Der gefesselte Wohlstand” (2025). With this work, he encourages everyone who is able to contribute more to embrace a new approach to giving.

In our upcoming meeting, we will feature a brief club update, followed by an engaging open chat session where Rotarians and guests can share ideas, updates, and explore future opportunities for service and fellowship.

We are delighted to also start a new format following your feedback to create opportunities to learn more from and about our club members.
In the next couple of months we will inlcude sessions where members of the club will be sharing on their background, experiences and perspectives.

In our upcoming meeting, we are excited to welcome speaker Erick Sangoro, who will talk about: “Bridging the Digital Divide: Rotary Club of Lang’ata’s Role in Advancing Digital Literacy for Underserved Communities.”

Erick is the current President of the Rotary Club of Nairobi-Lang’ata.
He is passionate about leveraging technology and education to empower communities.
Professionally, Erick leads an engineering company in the capacity of Managing Director and is responsible for delivering strategic initiatives in the energy and technology sectors across East Africa, with a focus on innovation and sustainability.

With Erick we will explore the Digital Literacy Program (DLP), an initiative aimed at equipping classrooms in underserved areas with computers and students with digital skills.
We will discuss the vision behind the program, its impact on education and community development, and how Rotary clubs can collaborate to scale this effort, with practical examples and opportunities for partnerships.

In our upcoming meeting, we are excited to welcome speaker Dr. Tanyss Munro.

Dr. Tanyss Munro has dedicated her life to expanding educational opportunities for disadvantaged communities in Canada and abroad. She began her career improving First Nations education, serving as a special-education teacher, principal, and Director of Education, where her student-centered approach transformed struggling schools.

Believing deeply in students’ potential, she empowered them to lead programs ranging from radio broadcasts to community meals and school-based enterprises. Her career later took her to Parliament Hill as a Senior Advisor on Indigenous and Northern Affairs, and then to international development roles with the Commonwealth of Learning.

Her global work in education and governance earned her the Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal.

In our upcoming meeting, we are excited to welcome speaker Karen Pinder – Past Assistant Governor – Bahamas East Clubs and Current District 7020 Membership Chair – who will provide valuable insights to how engaging with the Rotary Foundation can boost project success.

Karen is a Risk Management Professional in the Financial Services Industry. She has over 22 years’ experience in Private Banking catering to international clients.
As a Member of The Rotary Club of Nassau Sunrise, Karen has over 20 years of perfect attendance, having served most of those years as a Committee Chair, or on the Board, including as Secretary and President.
Beyond the Club Level, she was the Bahamas’ first female Assistant Governor. She has served as Area Trainer for Rotary Clubs of The Bahamas and District 7020 Rotary Leadership Institute Director, Presently, she is serving as a Rotary Leadership Discussion Leader, District trainer and District Membership Chair after, representing the District at the Zone 34 Level as the Innovative Club Advocate in prior years.
An enthusiastic advocate of Our Charity of Choice, The Rotary Foundation, she “walks the walk” as a Paul Harris Society Member, Charter Member of the D7020 Polio Plus Society, Bequest Society Member and Level 2 Major Donor.
She loves to travel and attending District Conferences and RI Conventions.

In our upcoming meeting, we are excited to welcome speaker Felix Heintz from Rotary E-Club Bavaria International, who will provide us with insights into WEB3.

Web3 envisions an internet that’s decentralized, user-owned, and trustless — where people, not corporations, hold the keys to their digital lives.

Felix holds a diploma in business administration with a specialization in business informatics and works as a Team Lead, Project Manager, and Data Protection Officer at an IT software company.
In his free time, he is deeply involved in Rotary, co-founding the Rotary E-Club Bavaria International and founding the Rotarian Metalhead Fellowship. He enjoys traveling the world and is an active Web3 enthusiast and core member of S3rvus.

MEETING INVITE

„UNITE FOR GOOD“

Dear fellow Rotarians and valued guests,please use the great chance to meet with our District Governor Garret Capobianco and his team.

Garrett Capobianco has dedicated his life to community service and leadership.

His commitment began with the Boy Scouts and Scarsdale Volunteer Fire Company 1, where he rose to Volunteer Captain before becoming a career firefighter in his hometown. Over a 21-year firefighting career, he earned multiple commendations and served in key union leadership roles, including president of IAFF Local 1394.

Following retirement, Garrett became deeply involved in the Rotary Club of Scarsdale, leading the club through the pandemic as president and now serving as President of the Scarsdale RotaryFoundation and District Governor 202/2026. He was awarded the title of Paul Harris Fellow, and is furthermore a charter member of one of three RotaryInternational/Toastmasters International clubs in the world.

Of all of the titles and positions he has dutifully fulfilled throughout his lifetime, Garrett assigns the highest priority and pride to his role as a single father to two children– Christian and Victoria.
