Another day at the John Deere Murphy Tractor & Equipment Co., Inc. Excavator roll out. Talked to about 40 contractors yesterday and have a list who want an invite to convention!
One of these days when work is slow?!? one of our members is welcome to invite me to dig with one of their machines - just move some soil around where I can’t hurt anything!
Have I said before I love working for these guys - just wish I had some basics on running one of these machines!

Congratulations Mark - very deserving!

🏆 Congratulations to Mark Jones, our Fall 2026 212° Award recipient!

Mark has been a dedicated member of Fort Hays Tech | North Central for more than 23 years, currently serving as Heavy Equipment & Division Chair.

Most recently, Mark played an instrumental role in helping our Heavy Equipment program acquire brand-new Caterpillar and John Deere equipment—working through a lengthy procurement process to make sure everything met the requirements of a major governmental grant.

His leadership, dedication, and willingness to always go that extra degree make Mark incredibly deserving of this recognition!
