Bears Bees + Brews

30/12/2023

As 2024 draws near and transitions from a thought to a tangible reality, let us renew our commitment to protecting the earth and its wild creatures. They are crucial to our survival and well-being. This new year, let's support policies and practices that conserve our precious planet and pave the way toward a sustainable future.

We are sending out a cosmic wish to all of our Bears Bees + Brews friends and family: May love, prosperity, and good health be your companions in the coming year, and may a torch of love ignite in your heart, casting a warm glow over your cherished connections, past and present. Let this light be your beacon through the good and not-so-good times, reminding you that you are loved, valued, and never truly alone.

Here's to a year of meaningful moments and authentic living. Peace to all, and a Happy New Year to you!

Reflecting on Nature's Wisdom: The Black Bear as Our Mirror

In the quiet majesty of the forest, black bears roam with a beauty that's both breathtaking and familiar. These creatures, with their profound maternal instincts, care for and mourn their cubs with a depth of emotion that mirrors our own human experiences. In their eyes, we see reflections of our souls – cautious, yet longing for connection.

Black bears teach us a valuable lesson about trust and coexistence. They maintain a wary distance from humans, a distrust born of necessity, much like the caution we often exhibit towards each other. Yet, in this wariness, there is wisdom. They remind us that to coexist with nature, we must first learn to trust ourselves and each other, to look beyond fear and embrace the beauty of life in all its forms.

Let's take a moment to appreciate these magnificent creatures, not just for their beauty but for what they represent – a call to live in harmony with our world and each other. It's in understanding and respecting these beautiful creatures that we find the true essence of coexistence. 🐻 🐝 🌳

Oh, hey! We had a great Bears Bees + Brews Festival this year! Not even a hurricane could keep us from celebrating 's wildlife and wilderness. Thank you to Rabbit Rabbit for hosting us, and to all the organizations, small businesses, donors, and sponsors who supported us this year. We will be back bi-annually, unless we find four volunteers who can dedicate at least part-time hours to making the festival this coming year. It takes a lot of time and effort, and the few of us working on BB+B cannot do it alone. We need dedicated wildlife-lovers to come together to support this effort and help make it happen. DM us if you're interested in volunteering with us and stay tuned!

Happy New Year and please drive safely and watch out for wildlife, support wildlife causes, volunteer, and be kind to the wild ones.

For wildlife + wilderness!
