Warminster Lions support good causes principally in the BA12 area. The Club has been active continuously since 1964, raising and donating funds and providing other forms of support. Our Club is part of the world's largest network of voluntary service organisations, Lions Clubs International, which has as its prime objective to create and foster a spirit of understanding among the peoples of the wo

rld. Lions Clubs take an active interest in the civic, cultural, social and moral welfare of their communities and promote the principles of good government and good citizenship. The money raised by the Lions is used principally to help people in the local community, but also, in line with the Lions’ worldwide perspective, to help those in need in other countries, particularly the Third World.

An eclectic selection ‘On the Shelf’ at the bookshop this week for all the readers in your life.

To start them off on their reading journey, for toddlers & rising 5’s … some truly lovely pop up & ‘touch’ books. Keep them reading with an Anthony Horowitz box set, a fairy tale from Madonna before getting them hooked on the classics. 📚

For the more ‘mature’ reader some great classic novels by Jane Austen, wonderful stories from Paulo Coelho. 📖

Some new Folio donations complete the top shelf
alongside a beautiful cookbook from Nigel Slater. 📕
