When you elected him 4 years ago he promised to bring ‘transparency and accountability’ to council meetings and workshops; within his first year you could watch the council meetings and workshops on local cable or the internet at your convenience. • Appointed and confirmed as a Director on the Conroe

Industrial Development Corporation (CIDC), which brings businesses and quality jobs to Conroe
• Named Chairman of the Legislative Committee where he works with state elected officials on matters of importance to Conroe and Montgomery County
• Named a member in the Finance, Personnel and Water Conservation Committees

In his second year Guy was named and still is your Mayor Pro Tem. Also starting the second year, he worked with the City Attorney on one of the toughest tree ordinances for commercial development in the state; now they are working to make the tree ordinance for residential development just as strong. Most recently it was his initiative that placed the issue of the red light cameras on the May 10 ballot for the people to decide.
