Prayer Walk #304

Another hot one this morning! Used the start of the Lord's Prayer to pray for the surrounding community – thanking God for what he's doing, and praying for his kingdom to come and will be done.

“This, then, is how you should pray:
“‘Our Father in heaven,
hallowed be your name,
your kingdom come,
your will be done,
on earth as it is in heaven.
(Matthew 6:9-10)

Prayer Walk #303

A bit late posting this, but last weeks prayer walkers used Psalm 32 as their inspiration, praying for health, relationships and education in the community. Back out walking again tomorrow! ☀️

Prayer Walk #302

We walked and prayed from Margeston and along Tongue Gutter this morning. Praying that people would know their worth and value in God, based on these verses 🙏🏼

Matthew 10.24-39
29 Are not two sparrows sold for a penny? Yet not one of them will fall to the ground unperceived by your Father.
30 And even the hairs of your head are all counted.
31 So do not be afraid; you are of more value than many sparrows.
32 ‘Everyone therefore who acknowledges me before others, I also will acknowledge before my Father in heaven;
33 but whoever denies me before others, I also will deny before my Father in heaven.
34 ‘Do not think that I have come to bring peace to the earth; I have not come to bring peace, but a sword.

Prayer Walk #301

Always love this view of the city! This morning we prayed for local schools and kids with exams. We prayed for the various community work going on in local churches. We prayed for unity and peace throughout the city, and thanked God for the various green spaces we could see around us.

The big 300 today. This mornings walk took us up some of the streets around Ecclesfield and the bottom of Wordsworth. Thankful for the many prayer walks over the years!

Lovely sunny prayer walk around Tunwell and Colley this morning. Thanking God for the unique and varied gifts everyone brings. Continuing to pray God's blessing over this community.

Prayer Walk #298

Today we reflected on the Beatitudes, beautiful words of blessing from Jesus. And we prayed those blessings as we walked from and around Margeston. Thank you Lord 🙏🏼

“Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

“Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted.

“Blessed are the meek, for they will inherit the earth.

“Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they will be filled.

“Blessed are the merciful, for they will receive mercy.

“Blessed are the pure in heart, for they will see God.

“Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called children of God.

“Blessed are those who are persecuted for the sake of righteousness, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

“Blessed are you when people revile you and persecute you and utter all kinds of evil against you falsely on my account.”

Prayer Walk #297

Beautiful morning for prayer walking! God has blessed us with sunshine, fellowship and nourishment this morning as we continue to prayer for PX & its outskirts.

“Very truly I tell you, whoever hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life and will not be judged but has crossed over from death to life." (John 5:2)

Prayer Walk #296

This morning our prayer walk took us past Chaucer and Meynell and back round to Asda, with particular prayers for those taking exams at the moment.

"As the Father has loved me, so have I loved you. Now remain in my love." (John 15:9)

Prayer Walk #295

"Come, let us sing for joy to the Lord;
let us shout aloud to the Rock of our salvation.
Let us come before him with thanksgiving
and extol him with music and song.
For the Lord is the great God,
the great King above all gods."

This morning we used Psalm 95 to guide our prayer walk. Help us to enter this weekend with praise and thanksgiving...
