Prayer Walk #282

Up through Parson Cross Park this morning. Beautiful autumn morning! 🍂 Prayed for perfect love (1 John 4:18) and deep peace (Mark 4:35-41) for this park and the wider community.

"There is no fear in love. Instead, perfect love drives away fear." (1 John 4:18)

Prayer Walk #281

This morning we prayer walked around Ecclesfield. We had a time of silence as we walked and allowed God to speak. We particularly noticed the changing seasons, the contrast of busy road and quiet park, and the way seeds grow in all kinds of ways in all kinds of soils.

Thank you God that you speak. Thank you that you work in all sorts of different ways - in the quiet times and in the loud times. As the seasons change and the leaves change colour on the trees, help us to listen well for your voice God.

Prayer Walk #280

We returned to the view above Wordsworth this morning. Always draws us back! Inspired by Psalm 107, we prayed for God's beautiful breakthrough today wherever people need it.

"He brought them out of darkness, the utter darkness, and broke away their chains. Let them give thanks to the Lord for his unfailing love and his wonderful deeds for mankind, for he breaks down gates of bronze and cuts through bars of iron."
(Psalm 107:14-16)

Prayer Walk #279

There were so many of us this morning that the prayer walk turned into a prayer chat at some points 😂

We walked and prayed around the new houses near Mansel School this morning. Inspired by these verses declaring the reconciliation with God which came from Jesus death on the cross - leading to reconciliation and peace between all peoples 🙏🏼❤️💥

“All this is from God, who reconciled us to himself through Christ, and has given us the ministry of reconciliation; that is, in Christ God was reconciling the world to himself, not counting their trespasses against them, and entrusting the message of reconciliation to us. So we are ambassadors for Christ, since God is making his appeal through us; we entreat you on behalf of Christ, be reconciled to God.” 2 Corinthians‬ ‭5‬:‭18‬-‭20‬ ‭

Prayer Walk #278

A beautiful morning to be prayer walking today. We walked and prayed around Buchanan and Colley Park, focussing on these verses about peace and abounding in hope 🙏🏼

“May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that you may abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.”

Out prayer walking again this morning. Used this passage to guide our prayers, inspired by the spacious space of Longley Park…

“They confronted me in the day of my disaster, but the Lord was my support. He brought me out into a spacious place; he rescued me because he delighted in me.”

Prayer Walk #276

Today we thought about Jesus’ amazing story of the shepherd leaving the 99 sheep to go in search of the lost 1 - ‘the Son of Man came to seek and save that which was lost’ (Luke 19:10) - praise God!

We prayer walked around Margeston and Colley Park, praying for all those experiencing a sense of feeling lost 🙏🏼

Great to be out prayer walking again today. As the new school year begins, praying peace and joy for the parents, kids and staff in this area.

"Devote yourselves to prayer, being watchful and thankful." Colossians 4:2

Prayer Walk #274

This morning we prayer-walked along Adlington and back to Buchanan Green. Using this line from the Lords prayer, we prayed for God's daily provision for people:

"Give us today our daily bread." (Matthew 6:11)

We're going to have August off but will be back on the streets again in September.

Prayer Walk #273

On Friday morning we prayer-walked around Tunwell Avenue, Colley Road and back to Ecco Cafe. We prayed that the God of peace and comfort would meet all those in need.
