Y.U.M Young United Methodists We are a group of young adults who meet to share how we balance competing pressure and the demands on time, energy and soul. All are welcome!

This is a Young Adult group for ages ranging between 18 and 30 years who meet weekly from September through June at St. Peters; Wednesday's from 6:30 to 8:30pm. We share a meal and our experiences throughout the week along with various spiritual studies. Example Community Service/Events We do:
• Youth Homeless Meals – we provide a meal for those in need, obtain cooking skills for ourselves and sam

ple our wares.
• Volunteering at the Point Defiance Zoo – made bird suet sticks, helped younger youth, and enjoyed the zoo to ourselves.
• Community Herb bed – we grow different herbs that are for anyone who wishes to clip some.
• Warm Needs – collected mittens, hats, and gloves for those in need at Christmas time and distributed them along with helping serve a meal in down town Seattle.
• Help with youth events at St. Peter’s-Kids Club in July, youth Sunday services, etc.
• GameWorks, Skate King, Concerts, we are all about the fun events too!

Adora here! I met a lovely woman with the name Nina (pronounced nine-uh) Louise. Such a kind woman with much wisdom to spare. She looking for work and would love some prayers. Her kindness shines brightly, I was happy to aid her In a small meal. It's my wish she has the happiest of holidays. Just asking for prayers for her.

Delivery done! Food freshly hot out of the oven and drink as cold as they can be. Now safely home knowing they got something good to eat. (Lasagna and macaroni bake)

Well Its almost The day of thanks, For family, friends, pets and more.
Be safe everyone!
Anyway somehow we got all mixed up this month on feeding the homeless, but were glad to see it just means more people are helping out out more often!
Next time we go and feed the homeless youth will be Dec. 12 which is the second Saturday of the month!
were planning gingerbread cookies but would love more ideas!

Hello friends and Y.u.m group.
gasp! so soon that the children are getting back to school!
and with fall coming up quick we should think about what we should be serving this month! any ideas? It little chilly of late and if that keeps up what do you think they would want?

We have another homeless meal to host....this time just us young adults, no cooking lesson involved!!!

The meal is on Wednesday, August 19th, which is Youth Matter's Leader Jennifer's birthday. She and Scott were going to serve the meal without either Youth Matters or YUM helping. Instead, as a gift from the groups, Sally and Adora offered to go out and purchase then deliver the meal to the homeless youth at the Landing in Redmond that night.

They are keeping it simple by getting the Landing's favorite pizza which believe it or not is "Little Caesar's" (three cheese and three pepperoni). They will deliver that along with fresh fruit, a veggie, milk and juice!

The meal is due by 8:30pm so those who wish to help please contact Sally or Adora via FB! It is a double win as the groups are helping the homeless and doing something special for their leaders!!!
