Happening this week.

University of Manitoba’s Chamber Opera - Arminio by G.F. Handel
November 21, 2025 – 7:30 p.m & November 22, 2025 – 2:30 p.m.
Desautels Concert Hall, 150 Dafoe Road

You are invited to the Canadian premiere of Handel’s Arminio. The story of the Roman Empire’s attempted annexation of Germanic states in 9 CE is a story all too familiar in 2025. Our story begins on the battlefield but ends in the heart of a broken family. Handel’s thrilling music will keep you on the edge of your seat as characters are betrayed by their own families and hopes hang on by a thread. Come and see this historic tale told through a contemporary lens, accompanied by a chamber orchestra of soloists.

Tickets are $12 for students and $25 for general admission. Link in bio to purchase tickets.

Concert season is coming up and we'd love to know of any Early Music concerts. Is your organization doing a Handel Performance? Any Madrigal dinners taking place? How about a Hildegard extravaganza? Anything concentrating on music from the Medieval, Renaissance and Baroque periods, we would be happy to share on our page. We love this music and are eager to hear more of it in Winnipeg.

Many thanks to every one who came out to our Play and Sing at Dalnavert Museum on Sunday. We had a great afternoon of singing and playing with recorders, violins and even a cornetto. It was great seeing all of you, and thank you to the Dalnavert Museum and Visitors' Centre and Culture Days for hosting us.
