Occupy Hackney OCCUPY EVERYWHERE Occupy London occupy the world....
On December the 15th Occupy went local. It's not just about Central London. Lost EMA? Cuts to the library?

Use the Occupy tactics and networks to highlight local issues. Hospital threatened? Jobs lost, pensions lowered? Racial profiling and excessive stop and searches by the police? The 99 percent are everywhere, and if you've not got a chance or didn't want to go to Occupy London Stock Exchange, here is a space, within a national framework, to discuss and express problems and solutions. Occupy London

has edged into Hackney already with the Bank of Ideas in Sun St, but now a group of Occupiers and Hackney residents are taking it further into the neighbourhood. In the morning of December 15th, we will be having a Hackney critical mass bike tour around sites of social and economic injustice as well as some points of celebration of people power and popular resistance. The afternoon will see a symbolic occupation, with info stalls, discussions, and a general assembly listening to Hackney voices and stories. Come and join from 2pm, next to St. Augustine's Tower in Hackney Central. We are calling out to all Hackney residents, community groups, artists, youth workers, musicians, thinkers, grassroots organisations, to join us in planning this and in celebrating Hackney's place in the 99 percent, and strengthening our community to work together saying 'We won't pay for their crisis!'
