Get out and vote tomorrow!!!

Get out and vote tomorrow!!!

The urgency is now.

Your vote is your voice, and your vote is one of the most powerful ways you use that voice. It is how we decide who represents us and who makes decisions about our schools, housing, public safety, healthcare, transportation, and the policies that shape our everyday lives.

We cannot afford apathy. People marched, bled, were beaten, jailed, and even lost their lives for the right to vote — for the right for us to have a say in our democracy.

And local elections matter. Your mayor. City council. School board. County officials. Judges. State lawmakers. These are the people making decisions that directly impact your neighborhood, your children, your paycheck, and your future.

Don’t sit this one out. Don’t assume someone else will do the work. Don’t give away your power.

BWPC is providing rides to the polls on Election Day for McKeesport and neighboring Mon Valley communities. Schedule your ride in advance at blackwomenspolicycenter.org or call/text us on Election Day for pickup at (412) 229-7840.

Because when we vote, we don’t just participate — we shape what comes next.

Holding U.S. Steel accountable is not just for the sake of environmental & public health but also worker safety👷‍♂️😷

Today, OSHA fined U.S. Steel $118K for committing 10 violations as a result of the fatal explosion at the Clairton Coke Works last summer.

U.S. Steel was cited nine times for inadequate safety procedures, employee training and equipment to isolate machines from energy sources. The last violation comes from U.S. Steel’s failure to supply OSHA with incident reports in a timely manner.
