Celebrate the holiday spirit this year by attending the in-person 2022 GFWC Holiday Open House hosted by GFWC International President Deb Strahanoski and GFWC Director of Junior Clubs Katie Moydell on Wednesday, December 7. You can sign up to attend one of two scheduled receptions from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. ET and from 1:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. ET. During each reception, you can enjoy viewing ceramic holiday villages provided by the State Federations that will be on display in recognition of this year’s theme, Home for the Holidays. Joseph Grillo was born in New York and lived on Staten Island with his wife, Mary Jo, and their two sons. He played basketball three times a week with different groups of friends. Joseph was employed as a risk finance analyst for the Port Authority. On 9/11, he worked on the North Tower’s 64th floor. Joseph was 46 years old. Today we placed a white rose at his name on the to mark his 67th birthday.

It is with deep sadness that we announce the death of our First President and Charter Member, Phyllis B. Lyman, on Sunday, August 14, 2022. Phyllis was one of the organizers in 1992. She served as President for 2 years, then Secretary for 2 years. She was active in the organization serving on the GFWC New York Board of Directors for several years. Phyllis had great insights and ideas and always spoke her mind. We appreciated all her guidance and wisdom.
