I am hoping to rise quite a bit off MONEY for this hospital as its very close 2 my heart. My little boy Sonnie spent 1st 4 weeks off his life in there had 4 operations as he was born with a hole in his tummy that we were unaware off. He stopped breathing at home luckily the mid-wife was here an had oxygen with her. We took him to are hospital st-mary then later that day on 7th jan 2011 he was tran

sferred to Southampton where we were told he would need operation as he had something wrong with his tummy, at this time he was only 2 days old.
1st operation went fine they told us that all babies have set backs around day 3 or 4 Sonnie got to day 5 when we was sent home on the morning of the 12th his stitches burst open so we where rushed back to Southampton hospital where Sonnie had his 2nd operation. On the 17th of jan Sonnie was very sick in his hospital bed so the nurse came to help clean him up when in front of me, my partner and the nurse his stitches burst open again so Sonnie was rushed down for operation number 3 it was so horrible seeing it all and seeing my baby suffering they tried using the old style of stitching in a hope that this would hold his tummy together better and stop it from opening up again he was on morphine for a week which knocked him for 6. I didn’t get to hold him for 8 days then 2 days later on the 19th of jan it started opening again the tissue started braking through the stitches so had to take him down for another operation his 4th in total where they put in a drain sonnies body was making his own body fluid which was putting to much pressure on the stitches which was causing them to burst open the drain worked and things started improving for poor Sonnie. We didnt want to be near him as was so heart braking to see and we where scared about holding him my partner mark was worse than me as we were away from girls who were 7, 4, and 2 at time so we were going back and forth from the hospital all the time in the end hospital said to stay away for a day as he was fine and to spend some time with are girls which we did. In total Sonnie spent the first 4 weeks of his life in Southampton hospital he went in on the 7th of January and wasn’t out till the 31st of Jan all he went in hos on 7th jan got let out 31st jan. Then at 9 weeks old Sonnie caught a uti spent 5 days in are hospital its just been 1 thing after the other with Sonnie who has suffered from bad skin which means still regular trips to Southampton hospital for treatment he has allergies too and his balls keep going up and then coming down, really fill for him but makes me smile as my little boy is always happy even after everything he has been through :) # # #
