Bake sale coming up May 9th at foodland.

Parents Saturday, May the 9th, it will be held at the Foodland in Amherstview.
We will be looking for the youth to volunteer 20-30 minute shifts thought-out the day to work the bake sale table. Please RSVP your availability, All youth are highly encouraged to participate. As this is one of our big fundraisers and community events and volunteer time works towards to awards for our youth.
I hope every family can help us by sending in a baked item or two. It would be very helpful if the baked goods were individually wrapped. Please email me and let me know what you would like to donate and what you will be baking.

Baked goods can be dropped off on Friday May 8th after 6:00 pm at my house. Or the meeting prior to the Bake sale.

Please make drop arrangements for item to be dropped off before the sale with me, so we can make the tables look aesthetically pleasing! If you have extended family members who enjoy baking and would like to help our cause, the more baked goods the merrier.

(Chef Beaver PAB badge step one can be achieved with a youth lead cooking experience in preparation for the bake sale) 😉

We will have three tables so let's try to fill them with delicious goodies and raise lots of money for adventures and more possibilities of new camping equipment!

🐺& ⚜️
Challenge use what's in the bag to cook a meal for your family. You have 6 tea light candles, lighter, muffin pan, small pot, bottle of water, Ramen noodles. You have no power how will you cook the noddles?

Cooking soup with tea light candles is a viable emergency survival skill for warming food or heating water during power outages when conventional stoves are unavailable. While not suitable for rapid, high-heat cooking, a cluster of tea lights can produce enough heat to bring water to a low boil or warm canned soups within 20–40 minutes.

Crucial Survival Tips
Safety First: Never leave candles unattended. Use them only on non-flammable surfaces.

Oxygen is Key: Do not block the air holes in your setup, as the candles need oxygen to stay lit.

Alternative Uses: This method works well for heating canned soup, rehydrating Ramen noodles, making coffee, or warming canned vegetables.

Efficiency: Using 6–8 tea lights clustered closely together works better than spreading them out, allowing for higher, concentrated heat.

Disclaimer: This is an emergency, slow-cooking method intended to be used with extreme caution to avoid fire hazards.
