My Coldhurst

Today Sunday 18th October we have had another fantastic session provided by the MyColdhurst team at KickSonic sports complex on waddington street , Oldham.
We have had an amazing turnout and with iver over 130 young people join us to spend their Sunday afternoons playing active sports -football coaching and also socialising with all their peers with many other activities that include many board games , VR headsets, PS5, table tennis, carton board, chess, droughts and many many more other games.

If your child is struggling for things to do on a Sunday afternoon please do send them across. All the activities are fully supervised.

A quick reminder also about our Friday evening sessions at Brian Clarke academy 6-8pm. Football for young people aged 11 onwards to late teens. All fully qualified FA coaches will deliver the session.

Hi everyone.

Further developments on mark street near west end street football pitch. The planters and benches have been fitted today and the area is looking really nice. We have also put planters on some of the walls for the residents. Solid and planting to follow in the coming days.

Another fantastic turnout today Sunday 11th October 2026. We have nearly 121 young people attending from the ages of 6 to 18.

Amazing!

All being supported and encouraged by fully qualified FA affiliated coaches. All our staff must have an enhanced DBS clearance to work with children as part of our safeguarding policy.

If your child is struggling to occupy themselves on a Sunday afternoon please do send them over to us. Registration is a prerequisite and our volunteers and staff will guide you through that.

We also have an evening football session every Friday at Brian Clarke academy on Middleton road oldam ( next to the leisure centre) from 6 to 8pm.
Outdoor 4g trainers must be worn.

Our MMA sessions on Sunday at 12pm is also oversubscribed at Oldham fight academy as is our free cycling sessions every Saturday morning meeting at Alexandra park Oldham. Please contact us for further information regarding this at the following email address: [email protected]

🌳 A Huge Step Forward for Coldhurst! 🌳

Today we completed a fantastic community fruit‑planting session at the MyColdhurst Orchard — and what a success it was! From plum and apple trees to the beginnings of our vegetable patch, the whole area is now taking shape beautifully. This is all for our community, and the energy, teamwork, and pride shown today were incredible.

A special thank you to the Greater Manchester Environment Fund, initiated under the leadership of Andy Burnham as GM Mayor, for supporting this transformation. Their backing has helped us take a major step toward a greener, healthier Coldhurst.

We’re already looking forward to springtime blossoms, fresh fruit, and a thriving vegetable patch. As part of the wider improvement works, CCTV and security floodlights will be installed to protect and monitor the orchard so it can flourish for years to come.

More work is planned — and with your continued support, Coldhurst will keep growing stronger.

Community fruit and veg growing area

Another fantastic turnout to our weekly walking sessions for Coldhurst. We had 37 men women and children joining us for a healthy walk around Coldhurst followed by a healthy social breakfast at Khau ghalli. If you are interested in improving your health and wellbeing please join us every week meeting at 11am outside TFC takeaway on Featherstall road oldham. Amazing that we are helping bring change to many with regards their own personal fitness and health. On average we walk just over 3.5 miles. Stay tuned and come join us to make a difference. 😇🙏 ゚
