FAO Resource Advocates are trained and work specifically with FIT families for a period of three months connecting them to community resources, both schools and other related agencies. The goal of this program is to help empower the family to achieve stability through the connection of community resources as well as to provide a transition path to another community resource to attain self suffici

ency. We offer a safe environment of respect, encouragement and objectivity in the midst of a families personal crisis of homelessness. We understand and support the mission of FIT which is to allow stability in the life of the school aged child to learn. Each FIT family is paired with an FAO Resource Advocate for a three month period or longer. During that time FIT family meets regularly with their FAO Resource Advocate to talk through various resource needs and issues that might arise.
